Biking to work could save you thousands a year, but busy roads keep people in their cars. Easy Rider races three commuters (driving, the fastest bike route, and the calmest bike route) and shows what each one costs a year. The calm route follows protected bike lanes and steers around busy roads.
It won the Hack Dearborn pre-event mini-hackathon, built solo against three four-person teams.
Choosing your own start and destination didn't make the cut in time. It was finished after the event and now works for any commute in metro Detroit.
